Error Blackra1n ASL.dll is not found

The solution to this problem, as regards the implementation of Blackra1n is quite simple. It will simply copy the executable of the tool designed by GeoHot Common Files within the directory located within Program Files. More precisely, the paths to copy the executable Blackra1n depending on the version of operating system currently in use are:

Windows 32bit: C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Support
Windows 64bit: 64 Bit – C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support

Once copied Blackra1n in the right path you can run it from there or create a desktop shortcut to solve the problem calmly and run the jailbreak.

bob says:

roger says:

it works what you nees to do is first highlight and copy the address to the file that was given
Windows 32bit: C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Support
Windows 64bit: 64 Bit – C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple

if it says no match hit the backspace key erasing each letter one by one untill you see the folder that says apple or apple application report

it wont find it juist by copying and pasting cuz each computer stores its files a lil difrently whether extra hyphen whater but was you copy and past in the search boxx after you clicked the window icon in lower left corner of screen wait for it to say no matches or whatever then hit back space once if the folder pops up their you go if not you may have to hit back space a few more times but it is there and will work

The way that worked the best for me was Javed Dude’s method, Placing Blackrain in the folder, C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Support

I am running itunes from an external hard drive so that could be the reason it was asking for so many dll files.

Jay says:

C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleMobile Device Support
Do you mean that on step 7 and 8?
(7) Staying in “Program Files (x86)”, open the “Common files” folder.
(8) Open the “Apple” folder.

The best way is to place Blackra1n in the folder C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Support
Run Blackra1n from here and it wont ask for any more .dll files !!
Instead of copying all .dll files from the above location to the Blackra1n folder, its just easy to move one Blackra1n file to C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Support !!
Hope it helps !!

That was definitely the easiest way!! Thanks everyone!!

mike says:

holy i thought i had a brick. ya just put blackra1n.exe into C:Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Support, then rAn blackra1n from there. THANK YOU EVERYONE

this totally worked!:) thank you so much for the advice!:) my phone was dead for two days..thanks to you, it’s now alive!:P thanks guys!:)

Dave says:

Actually, putting asl.dll into a folder that blackra1n.exe is in (let’s say “downloads”) doesn’t work at all. Putting blackra1n.exe into the Apple Application support does work.

I tried both, first didn’t work (same error) second method worked without a hitch. Oh, and uninstalling Itunes is useless, I did it, and it didn’t change anything. Just put blackra1n.exe into the app support folder and all will be well.

james says:

can i have a video about how to do this?..

james says:

uhm i have the file needed to do this but how do i actually do it?…how do i open the file.sorry im not good with computers.

cd /D “C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support”
cd /D “%blackrain%”

iTouchS says:

The method explained from Rex worked for me. If I only copy ASL.dll to same location as blackra1n.exe and restart the application then this error occur:
“This program can’t start because CoreFoundation.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.”
So the method explained from Rex is better.

3. and place your blackra1n in C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support
4. and open your blackra1n

ryan says:

i need help, im using my ipod touch and it isnt working no matter where i put the program, also i dont have an apple application support. please help

darkspirit says:

actualy, what happens (in windows 7 at least) is that firt it asks for the asl.dll. once you put it in the same directory it then asks for CoreFoundation.dll….

entering the app into the AppleApplication Support directory is the easyest way

cuong says:

thanks you so much

blah blah blah says:

art_tuvsho ;
thank ya

Paul says:

After i replaced ASL.dll i get error that “CoreFoundation.dll” is missing.

madRussian says:

I’ve put ASL.DLL in the blackra1n dir, and after starting it it gave me another DLL missing error, so after getting abut 3-4 different DDLs, which were all in the Common FilesAppleApple Application Support folder i just decided to throw blackra1n.exe in there, and it worked, my phone restarted. So instead of putting the ASL in the same dir, i would recomment putting blackra1n in that dir, or get the fix, because its gonna ask you for more DDLs

Logan says:

Thanks so much!
putting blackra1n into apple application support made it ra1n!

Abir says:

Thanx//// Workd for me.. :)

Gromble says:

Put Blackra1n.exe into C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support and run Blackra1n. It is simple and working.

admin says:

It is the same thing as putting the file. Dll in the same directory where
You blackra1n.exe

Rex says:

My method is copy the blackrain.exe to C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support, and run it!

art_tuvsho says:

hello, thanks for it, but it didnt work for me. so i tried my way to do it and it worked!!
so what i did is this.
1. download your blackra1n
2. open C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support
3. and place your blackra1n in C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Support
4. and open your blackra1n.
